There are also three groups which meet regularly: Keep Fit; Badminton; Choir (practice). Whilst these groups meet most weeks, they are subject to change. Further information can be found on the 'activities' page, including contact details for the co-ordinators of the groups.
The Trinity Singers - Stroke Club Concert

Join us for this annual event, which helps to raise funds for Rochdale Stroke Club.

Good Friday Walk

Meet at church and bring a packed lunch.

All are welcome to join the Walking Group for their annual Good Friday outing. This year we will be visiting Saddleworth, starting at Diggle and talking Dobcross, then returning via the Huddersfield Narrow Canal (5 miles).
Meet at church at 10.15am and bring a packed lunch.
There is a cafe near the end of the walk where we will be able to have a cup of tea and a piece of cake!
A short meeting to discuss the motions put forward to the annual meetings of the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches.

Caffrey-McGurk-Madge, a trio who perform a range of traditional and contemporary folk songs; and
One Accord, four musician-singers "well-known at concerts, folk clubs and festivals for their eclectic mix of materials"
The concert is a fund-raising event for for the new heating system in Rivington Chapel.

Induction of new Minister, Rev Kate McKenna, at Bury Unitarian Church.
The induction service will take place at 2pm and will be followed by a buffet tea. Kate originally attended Norwich Unitarian Chapel and recently completed ministry training in Oxford.

Beverley and Burton Agnes Gardens
We will travel to Beverley in the morning - it is market day but there is much to do there - visit the 13th Century Minster or one of the quirky cafes or cosy coffee shops or explore the cobbled streets with charming courtyards. In the afternoon we will visit the award-winning Burton Agnes Gardens to view the spectacular snowdrop display on the woodland walk, Entrance to the gardens is included in the cost.
Please put your name on the list on the noticeboard as soon as possible so that seats can be booked.

Join us for a three course buffet lunch. Proceeds will be shared between Henshaws, our charity for the year, and Unitarian College Manchester (UCM), an independent institution which prepares students for ministry and lay leadership positions in the Unitarian and Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Churches.

The service will be led by Rev Penny Johnson from Dean Row, Wilmslow. All are welcome to join us at 10.30am, and for tea/coffee and a chat after the service.

Sit back, relax and enjoy a film using our newly installed equipment in the Main Hall.
We'll be watching About Time, a heart-warming and endearing film, full of comedy moments. Written and directed by Richard Curtis, the film stars Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina, The Revenant), Rachel McAdams (Morning Glory, Midnight in Paris, Passion), and Bill Nighy (The Limehouse Golem, Dad's Army, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Pride).
The price includes a pie and pea supper, followed by tea/coffee.

A meeting of the North East Lancs Unitarian Mission (NELUM). Church representatives are Joyce Ashworth and Helen Illingworth.
Unitarian and Free Christian congregations join together at a local level in a number of districts which were formed in the main during the nineteenth century. They differ in size and in what they do; some are more active than others. All endeavour to support their congregations in a number of ways. There are sixteen districts in Great Britain. Further information can be found on the national website.

The speaker will be Elaine Grace, Volunteer Manager/Community Engagement Officer from healthwatch Rochdale.

Please send a cheque, made payable to Rivington Chapel, to Alison Whitaker, 14 Church Street, Westhoughton, Bolton, BL5 3RS. Indicate the number of adult and/or child tickets you require, and any dietary requirements. Please include a stamped addressed envelope.
